Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actress, was born 1 October 1995, in Berkeley, California. Her most well-known role is as an actor, having appeared in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004), and Chrissie Mair's Content House.

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an extended family of actors and filmmakers. Both are careers she herself has pursued. At nine years of age she made her feature film debut in the role of Sergio Citti in Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played the leading role in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo (1988), and also was part of the cast of The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. She was Nanni Moretti's daughter the following season for Red Wood Pigeon (also directed Moretti) (1989). Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido was the film that launched Asia's acting path. It was her first time moving between roles for young girls to complex and mature roles. The film was given a positive review at the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma was the first film she made with her father. The mother of her, Daria Nicoledi, is Argento's favorite actor. The film Trauma she played an orexic seeking the murderer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she has made with her father. The other two being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. It was a complex, challenging role that won it an award from David di Donatello award for the best actress . In 1995, she appeared alongside Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion as played by Peter Del Monte. This part earned her a David di Donatello (for the top actor) and a Grolla in Oro. Asia began directing in 1994 when she made two short films: Prospettive (1996), documentary about her father as well as Abel/Asia (1998), a film about the cult filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The latter was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia started directing her first feature-length film in 1999, with Scarlet Diva (2000). She was also the main actress, and the author of the film's script. The film was made available all over the world in May 2000. The film won a prize at the Williamsburg International Film Festival in Brooklyn. In 2001, after directing numerous music videos the actress gave birth to her first child, Anna Lou. In 2002, she was in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action film together with Vin Diesel. Asia also has a collection of stories that were published in top magazines.
